This hat is just super – super easy, super warm and super hipster!
The Hipster Hat is made with two strands of 8ply worked together, but could also be made in a 14ply, such as FDC’s Charly yarn.
Thanks to my lovely model Selina!

Hello, I’m a new knitter and I’m trying hats- I picked your pattern your pattern and I’m getting the yarn today. I’m wondering though what length of cable for the size 10 and 11 circs. Thanks!
Hi Tessa. The best length cable is 40cm or 60cm (16″ or 24″), although personally I find the 40cm a bit cramped.
Thanks Rosalind, I went to a yarn store today and got the yarn. I had another question about the pattern- in it you say minimum and maximum yarn needed- does that mean overall minimum yarn needed is 200 yards (300 for max)? I ended up getting a bulky weight yarn not 2 dks, but I did get two skeins each a different color- each is 128 yards 100% Superwash Merino Wool.
Hello. When I made the Hipster Hat in a bulky yarn, it took 142, so you’ll probably need both balls – although you could also make it slightly shorter.
