The theme of this week seems to be: why can’t I seem to finish anything? Then I remember I finished Schama’s history and feel a lot better.
Knitting: Ursula Cardigan in Jamieson & Smith 2 ply Jumper Weight
Seriously, this cardigan must finish soon right? From the angle in the photo above I can almost pretend it’s finished. Almost. So close.
Listening: A History of Britain, Vol. 1: At the Edge of the World by Simon Schama
So proud I finished this. It’s a history for people who already know their British history – but doesn’t really add much more than that.
In Our Time by Melvyn Bragg and BBC Radio Four
Catching up with Melvyn. One on The Anarchy (which put Schama’s history in a shadow) and another on Josephus and the First Jewish-Roman War.
Reading: The Shepherd’s Life: A Tale of the Lake District by James Redbank
Again, how have I not finished this? Oh, yeah, I got distracted by YA fiction. And Vikings. And finishing Schama’s history. C’est la vie.
See what everyone else is knitting/reading/listening to over on the original Yarnalong.
