The story of a future dystopia, where society is perfect and regulated, and all of humanity’s flaws have been scienced away. It’s weirdly acting as a self-help book for me; I have a tendancy to think my life would be perfect if I was more organised, more hard-working, more focused. But then I wouldn’t be human and would lose a great many good things.
Reading: Bearbrass: Imagining Early Melbourne by Robyn Annear
I have a new part-time job as a beer walking tour guide (seriously, that’s a thing) and my boss’ notes use this book copiously, so I thought I’d better read it. It’s all about Melbourne between the first settlers and the gold rush.
