Back after a bit of a hiatus.
Knitting:
Believe it or not, I am actually knitting the following more or less simultaneously. It’s not really working.
Ceriwen by Ann McCauley in Cascade 220
In a tradition now in its second year (it’s a fairly new tradition, I’ll admit), I’m knitting Dad his birthday present with yarn purchased while on an overseas trip. He picked out this yarn at So Much Yarn in Seattle, the only yarn store he went into (and I think he only went in because I felt ill). I love this pattern – it’s oddly not boring at all, but quite soothing.
Bakau by Asa Tricosa in Knitsch Sock Yarn
This is part of a knitalong with my Mum, sister, and a a friend. I think I’m a little behind everyone else, because I’m attempting to knit/sew/cross stitch all of the things at once.
Moss the Sheep by Amanda Berry in mystery yarn
For a friend in Auckland whose husband is in hospital with pretty bad burns. She needs to commute about 90 minutes to see him and below the Facebook post that announced that, was this pattern. The knitting gods told me I had to knit it.
Listening to: Beer Diary Podcast by Phil Cook and George Langlands (check spelling)
Unless you’re a beer geek from New Zealand, I wouldn’t bother with this; you won’t like it. As a beer geek from New Zealand, I love it.
Reading: Vile Bodies by Evelyn Waugh
Why do I keep forgetting that I love everything Evelyn Waugh writes and that I should be searching out the ones I’ve not yet discovered?
See what everyone else is knitting/reading/listening to over on the original Yarnalong.
