Yarnalong: Cria, Light, Time

Today’s Yarnalong pic is bought to you by the floor of Kate’s bedroom, because it’s too hot to be outside for more than two minutes.

Knitting: Cria by Ysolda Teague in Bendigo 5 ply Classic

After a little while on the backburner, Cria has returned! I cast off early, thinking that I was going to run out of yarn, and created more of a bolero. But then I realised I had about 80g of yarn left, so I ripped back the garter stitch band at the bottom, placed this yarn aside so I know how much I’ll use and will just knit until I run out of yarn.

Reading: The Light Between Oceans by M.L Stedman

A Christmas gift from my stepmother (because I like lighthouses and it’s about a couple that live in a lighthouse). Eight chapters in and it’s a sweet little love story – but the cover blurb assures me it’s going to get sad soon.

Listening: In Our Time by Melvyn Bragg

It feels like I haven’t listened to podcasts in ages, so I started catching up again with a couple of In Our Time episodes. One on Tristan and Iseult and another on Chinese legalism.

See what everyone else is knitting/reading/listening to over on the original Yarnalong.

Your Cria looks beautiful! I love the color!
And, I have to tell you, I read your first sentence, very funny, but the hot part through me for a loop, until I read your bio! Then it made sense! Lol
I have your book on my list, but I definitely have to be in the mood for a sad love story.

Thanks Christina, it’s my favourite colour to knit with. It’s kind of funny how many things I’ve made in deminy blue.
