Knitting: Belmont Cardigan by Gudrun Johnston in Wendy Dennis Polworth/Silk 4ply
Twisted rib is not fun. Twisted rib over 292 stitches and 30 rows is really not fun. But it looks so damn good, it’s worth it.
And the yarn. Oh, the yarn. It’s a gorgeous mix of Polworth wool and silk, which I bought on my trip to Tarndwarncoort, and it’s so lovely. The silk gives it just enough stitch definition, while the yarn still has a slight halo. I love it.
Reading: Wool by Hugh Howey
I don’t love this. I love the concept (everyone lives in a silo, no one knows why), but there’s some glaring inconsistencies and omissions that are rather annoying – and I can’t say what they are because they’d ruin the surprises for other people reading the book. I’ll finish it, if only to see what happens, but the second half would have to be a lot better than the first to convince me to read the next book in the series.
See what everyone else is knitting/reading/listening to over on the original Yarnalong.
that yarn looks so touchable – Looking forward to seeing the end result!
