Yarnalong: Cold & Everything

Those colours are no where near accurate. The blue is actually very bright and the cream is white.

As my reading snowballs with looming essays, my knitting is intended to be just pure fun.

Knitting: How Cold Is It? (NSFW) by Drunk Girl Designs in Jamieson & Smith 2ply Jumper Weight

After I finished my Belmont cardigan (no proper photos yet, although a nice one can be found here), I cast on a Quicksilver shawl, but I wasn’t really feeling it. I’m not sure if it was the yarn (bamboo) or the pattern, but it wasn’t feeling fun and I really wanted to knit something that was really FUN.

Enter the How Cold Is It? mitts. They happily declare that it is, in fact, ‘Cold as Fuck’. I may never wear them in public, but I will have a great deal of fun knitting them.

(The only downside of these mitts is posting them here. I’m aware I have a few Americans who come via the Yarnlong link and I know many Americans are a bit sensitive about language. I’m still debating whether I’ll blur out the word in future posts. At the very least, I think I’ll have to use a NSFW tag).

Reading: Every. Bloody. Thing.

I have a book review due on Friday and an essay proposal the week after that. I feel like I’m constantly reading and not getting anywhere.

On the upside, there’s my nightly chapter of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix to look forward to, so it’s not all bad.

See what everyone else is knitting and reading over on the original Yarnalong.
