Knitting: Nut Hap by Gudrun Johnston in Ashford Tekapo 8ply
This is progressing quite nicely. I had a wee hiccup yesterday when I realised I was doing too many stitches between turns, but I’ve decided to just own my mistake – the ends will be slightly more tapered than in the pattern, but I’m okay with that.
It’s quite restful to knit – I can pick it up and just start knitting, no matter where I am in the row. I can even knit it and read!
Reading: The Cold Dish by Craig Johnson
I was watching Longmire on Netflix and was kind of enjoying it and kind of not. When I went on IMBD, the first review I read complained that it had not quite lived up to the book and listed all the reasons why. That list was pretty much everything I didn’t like, so I decided to give the book a go. I’m only a couple of chapters in, but enjoying it so far – a nice easy going read for my tired student brain.
See what everyone else is knitting and reading over on the original Yarnalong.
