How delicious is that Little Dipper Yarns?
Today I’m going to hand in a 5,000 words essay and then life will go back to normal – yeah, right.
Knitting: Snawpaws by Kate Davies in Little Dipper Yarns and Stonehedge Fiber Mill Shepherd’s Wool Fine
A while ago, I told my sister I would knit her some colourwork mitts – when I’d finished my cardigan. Then I got distracted by my Nut Hap, so these are now well overdue. I wouldn’t feel that bad about it, except it dropped to below zero (Celsius) where she lives last week!
As per usual, I didn’t get Kate Davies’ gauge (seriously, how loosely does that woman knit?), so I’ve had to make a few alterations. Moved up a needle size and added in an extra snowflake in the pattern. I’m going to be adding a flap too, so these can also be worn as mittens.
Reading: River Road by Carol Goodman
I’d read another of Goodman’s books before, so I thought I’d try another. It’s alright, nothing too challenging and enough of a mystery to keep things interesting.
See what everyone else is knitting and reading over on the original Yarnalong.
The mitts look like they were worth the wait! I love that plummy color.
Love that picture! The mitts are coming along so gorgeously! Going to add River Road to my reading list. 🙂
